About Ricotest

Founded in 1982, RICOTEST is the first Italian institute for the technology and quality control of footwear and Personal Protective Equipment.

Over the years we have been able to assist most leading manufacturing companies within the  footwear and the outdoor sector in Italy.

RICOTEST operates in close contact with the main centres of the industry and various footwear, leather and textile districts.

Our highly specialised staff have been directly involved in the evolution of materials, design and processing of all tested products as they developed and diversified during the past 25 years: from sneakers footwear to trekking boots, from ski and snowboard boots to inline-skates and ice hockey completes.

In 1992, RICOTEST was among the first Italian test laboratories to be accredited in accordance with ISO 17025 for the management of quality systems in laboratories.

Being since 1994 registered as “Notified Body” no. 0498, RICOTEST is authorised to issue CE-Certification for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the EU, as defined by the Directive 89/686/EEC.
